JOB DESCRIPTION:
We are seeking a skilled Sawyer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in a warehouse environment and possess the ability to build and fabricate components using Mitek Blade Saw. The Sawyer will play a crucial role in ensuring that materials are cut and prepared according to specifications, contributing to the overall efficiency of our production operations.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Run pre-programmed cut list on Mitek Blade Saw to accurately cut materials to specified dimensions.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools for fabrication tasks, ensuring precision and quality in all work performed.
- Read and interpret blueprints or technical drawings using AutoCAD software to understand project requirements.
- Measure materials using calipers and perform tasks such as labeling and piling cut material.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, always adhering to safety protocols.
- Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and deadlines.
- Perform routine maintenance on machinery and equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Operate forklifts for material handling when necessary.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Proven experience in a warehouse or manufacturing environment is preferred.
- Proficiency with Mitek Saw is preferred.
- Strong skills in using hand tools, power tools, and machining equipment.
- Ability to read technical drawings and blueprints effectively.
- Excellent attention to detail with focus on quality workmanship.
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift heavy materials as needed.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Access to a reliable vehicle as public transportation is limited.
