IGLOO PREBUILT HOMES is a division of IGLOO BUILDING SUPPLIES GROUP, an industry leader in the Edmonton and area building supplies market. IGLOO PREBUILT HOMES has a dynamic team that is involved in the manufacturing of state-of-the art Modular Homes at our Acheson factory. IGLOO PREBUILT is currently recruiting for position of DESIGNER.
POSITION SUMMARY
The DESIGNER reports directly to the Manager of Design Services for IGLOO PREBUILT HOMES. The successful candidate will be adept in all aspects of design drawings, ensuring that the customer and plant needs are met in adherence to all CSA and provincial building code requirements. Proficiency with AUTO CAD software is a must. Experience with REVIT software, BIM software, and residential structural designing is also required. Database management experience is a definite asset. Wall panel/framing software experience is also considered an asset. The successful candidate will also be required to have their own transportation.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Provide “Sketches” for customers
• Provide “Shop drawings” and “Plant Floor Working Drawings” as required
• Keep design file information up to date
• Other duties as required by Manager of Design Services
