Everything from white maple to zinc panels

From 1990, when construction began, to November 1993 when the NWT Legislative Assembly opened in Yellowknife, Igloo supplied materials for the 46,000-square-foot dome building. White maple with sycamore, specially tinted zinc panels, shingles and louvers and skylights that filter natural light were some of the special products collected from the around the world and brought to Yellowknife.

"Igloo's priority to service and to its goal to continually better the industry have forged a long lasting relationship with our firm," says the building contractor PCL Constructors Northern Inc. "This firm has continued to be competitive in a very aggressive market with the assurance of performing to very strict purchase/shipping guidelines."
